RUNA II: Cinematic Articulations is the follow-up to RUNA: Elder Scoring Strings. While it works beautifully as a companion to the first library, it’s also a unique texture strings sample library with its own sound and approach. Independent use without owning first chapter of RUNA. Most of the content is ready to play. You can drop all patches and tools into a sketch and immediately hear your idea.

Made For Kontakt Player
This library is licensed for use in the free Kontakt Player. It can be used in Kontakt Player or the full retail version of Kontakt. It requires online registration through the Native Instruments Native Access system. This library is also fully compatible with Komplete Kontrol and all NKS Standard hardware and software by Native Instruments.

Mix ready. RUNA II uses the same recording approach as RUNA, so the two libraries are designed to work together naturally. Expressive articulations and live-recorded phrases bring movement and character to the music. With two microphone channels, individual effects buses, and master processing, you can adjust the tone and space to suit the arrangement. You can keep the sound close to its recorded character or shape it into a processed, cinematic texture.
A wide range of internal effects was essential for our cinematic strings sample library. This instrument is designed not only for soundtrack music but also for other genres. We didn’t add effects just because we could. You will see that adding light saturation and cabinet makes Runa cut through the mix even more. Or you can completely destroy this strings library with huge distortions. The possibilities are endless. Check out the snapshots for inspiration.
386 Unique Snapshots. RUNA II includes 386 unique snapshots, offering a wide range of starting points. Each snapshot combines sounds and settings into a distinct character, ready to use in an arrangement or develop through further sound design.
RUNA II features 9 cinematic articulations, each with its own unique character and movement. Composers can select one articulation or choose for the instrument to cycle through several with each new note. Random sample starts introduce further variation. The gate sequencer adds rhythmic motion. These features offer ways to shape recorded performances into evolving cinematic textures.
Phrases. RUNA II includes hundreds of live-recorded phrases spread across four octaves, with 6 (!) variations per key. We also recorded nar-kobyz to extend the palette with a deeper voice that complements the original instrument. These recorded performances give composers and sound designers a range of musical gestures, with variations that bring movement and character to an arrangement.
Loops. RUNA II includes 3 loop patches for building rhythmic textures and evolving atmospheres. You can select a loop region by clicking and dragging across the waveform, making it easy to explore different sections of a recording. Random sample starts, filtering, and effects offer further ways to reshape the material, whether it supports an arrangement or becomes the starting point for a new idea.
WAV Library. RUNA II includes an extensive collection of WAV raw and sound-design samples for use directly in a DAW. Composers and sound designers can arrange, layer and process the files with their tools or reshape individual recordings into new textures. The collection offers additional material for building atmospheres, adding detail to an arrangement, and exploring ideas beyond the instrument interface.
Mic settings window is the same as the one for Runa. Elder Scoring Strings. The Tune option can extend the range, making the instruments sound more like a cello or even a double bass. When you start panning the microphones, a slider appears that lets you add delay, creating a much wider stereo image.
Presets window with Factory and User presets available for FX Rack.
